ST. LOUIS, MO – April 29, 2008 – John P. Lord, Of Counsel with Williams Venker & Sanders LLC in St. Louis, will speak at the 2008 American Short Line & Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) Annual Convention on May 5, 2008.  This year’s convention will be held in San Antonio, Texas and will feature meetings, educational sessions, exhibitions and receptions.
 
Mr. Lord will present “Now That You’ve Paid Your Insurance Premiums, Are You Covered?”  with Daniel Bancroft, a Partner with the Transportation Insurance Practice at McGriff, Seibels & Williams.  Their program will illustrate what various railroad insurance policies cover and how railroads can effectively protect their interests.
 
As a former trial attorney for Union Pacific Railroad, Mr. Lord is familiar with many of the potential legal hurdles facing railroads today.  Additionally, he has experience in general litigation with over 75 completed jury trials in a number of practice areas including personal injury, fatality and property damage.
