ST. LOUIS, MO – October 22, 2009 – Williams Venker & Sanders partners, Theodore Williams, Paul Venker, Steven Sanders and Lucy Unger have been named by Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers as four of the top attorneys in the area for 2009. Only five percent of the lawyers in Missouri and Kansas are recognized by Super Lawyers. This is the first year Ms. Unger has been included on the list for her civil litigation defense experience. Mr. Venker and Mr. Sanders were singled out for their work in medical malpractice defense and product liability defense, respectively. Both attorneys have been listed in Super Lawyers since 2006. Mr. Williams was recognized for his work in civil litigation defense and has been included in the publication since 2005. Mr. Williams, Mr. Venker and Mr. Sanders are also named in Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel Edition.

Williams Venker & Sanders partner, Michael Hunter, and associate, Matthew Pelikan, were also listed in Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers this year in the "Rising Stars" category. This is the second consecutive year Mr. Hunter has been honored by the publication for his work in personal injury and product liability defense. Mr. Pelikan is a new addition to the list, recognized for his work in product liability defense.
