Peter Krane has always been interested in trial work; it was what drove him to the profession more than 25 years ago. He started his career in criminal work as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in St. Louis County, handling trials in traditional criminal matters including sexual assaults, robberies, and homicides. However, he also carried a caseload of "white-collar" matters including bank and insurance fraud and state securities violations.
Upon entering the civil practice of law, Peter drew upon the method of strategic case development he learned as a criminal prosecutor. Along with this, he was able to further develop the trial preparation and presentation skills that are necessary in civil litigation. These talents have allowed Peter to successfully defend and prosecute commercial and business disputes, investigate internal theft or malfeasance by clients' employees and represent clients in civil matters involving claimed criminal behavior or activity.
In addition to corporate matters, Peter has extensive experience trying medical malpractice cases involving emergency room practice, obstetrics, pediatric and adult neurology, and pediatric and adult cardiology. At the same time, he has also taken on a number of cases dealing with general liability and products liability.
