Biography

Eric Dearmont focuses his practice primarily within our asbestos practice group, working closely with the firm's toxic torts clients. As former legal counsel to the Missouri Public Service Commission he has handled complex cases involving energy and regulatory litigation, and has argued matters in front of judges and administrative panels. Eric also worked closely with law enforcement and municipal officials while he served as the Executive Director of the Columbia, Missouri Police Officer's Association. In this role, he engaged in officer benefit negotiations, managed government affairs and coordinated external counsel. He is experienced in drafting motions, writing briefs, and has served as the lead attorney on a number of cases in both state and federal courts.
